The position

By joining our team in Exploration & Production International you will have the opportunity to:

  • Supervise the planned maintenance and modification work executed by staff, contractors and utilities department.
  • Ensure that any deviations to Operations requirements are properly handled through the change management system and ORA process.
  • Continuous focus on identifying and handling Risk concerning operations and maintenance.
  • Ensure that all operational requirements are followed and understood by all parties (Equinor and contractors).

Offshore Role, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of offshore planned maintenance personnel.
  • Manage notifications, participate in prioritization, and ensure safe and efficient work plan execution.
  • Ensure quality in the permit to work process, from creation through to closure.
  • Develop their team through coaching, performance evaluations and training.
  • Supervise offshore execution of modification work as planned from onshore, excluding modifications where D&W is Technical Authority.
  • Training and maintenance of local plant and equipmentspecific expertise and emergency response competence.
  • Operation of assigned operational systems and area responsibilities as defined in the Equinor Management system.
  • Safety and Sustainability responsibility for the Maintenance department.
  • Conduct assigned maintenance according to the distribution between O&M department and Planned Maintenance.
  • Administer department cost control and collaborate with the onshore OPS in cost control related matters.
  • Maintain close contact with assigned TAs and specialists (local or in Norway) upon completion of maintenance in SAS, Tele, Fiscal and Rotating Machinery.


The Planned Maintenance (PM) Supervisor reports to the OIM and is responsible for safe and efficient operations within their area.

For this position, we are also looking for:

  • Extensive operational offshore experience.
  • Maintenance and/or Modifications Supervisor experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant UK Regulations related to Offshore Operations.
  • Proficiency in understanding plans in SAP (Maintenance Management System) or other planning tools such as Primavera / SAFRAN / Projects etc.
  • An Engineering Degree is preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to handle responsibilities and occasional high workloads.
  • Openess to change and familiarity with working in a high activity, multiple priority and dynamic environment.
  • Clear communicator and driven to achieving the best results for the Company.
  • Flexibility in the approach to work, with a willingness to cover changes to the role and rota at short notice.
