Work one-to-one outside of the classroom with children and young people who have SEN and SEMH needs
If you're passionate about supporting children who have SEN & SEMH needs, this is the role for you. Use your knowledge, experience and expertise to work for one of the UK's leading providers of alternative education.
We're looking for an experienced A-Level Art Teacher to work with an autistic young person who also has SEMH needs in addition to other young people we support.
This young person is based in Loughborough but we're providing support to vulnerable young people across Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire too.
What a typical day looks like
- Working with your student on a 1:1 basis either in their home or a suitable venue arranged, and risk assessed by the company.
- Delivering 25 sessions per week each centred around the needs, specific requirements and interests of your student.
- Each session will last between 35 hours and will take place between 9am 4pm, Monday to Friday. (Days and times are arranged with yourself before placements start).

What you need to apply
- Minimum of 2 years' professional experience working with vulnerable children or young people with SEN and SEMH needs
- Consistent availability to commit to a minimum of 2 sessions per week. (We recommend a minimum of 2 working days)
- A commitment to keeping children and young people safe, and a practical and up to date knowledge of Safeguarding.
