Are you an experienced SLD Teaching Assistant who is looking to work in Southwark?
Do you hold CACHE Level 3 or a similar qualification?
Can you work on a 1:1 basis, as well as in small groups?

SLD Teaching Assistant


For this SLD Teaching Assistant role you will be supporting a small group of 6-8 students with Severe Learning Difficulties.

You will be supporting them throughout their day at school; this will include getting them settled in the mornings, during theirlessons and activities which will be low level and very technology and sensory based, during therapy sessions and break times.

Due to the students needs there may be times where you will need to work more 1:1 with certain students, this could be because theyneed some extra help, managing their behaviour or assisting them to the toilet.

Therefore, the ideal SLD Teaching Assistant will need to have had a minimum of 1 years experience and have an enthusiastic and energetic attitude.


SEN School


This SEN School is based in the South East London borough of Southwark and caters for students aged between 11-19 years with Specific Learning Difficulties, Speech, language and Communication Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Multi-Sensory Impairment,Physical Disability, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.

They currently have 230 girls and boys who attend and in their last Ofsted in December 2017, they were reviewed as 'Good' inall areas.
