About the role

What will you be doing?

Your day to day will be varied and busy, you'll be responsible for actively contributing to the efficient operation of the Planning Service and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, including Councillors.


You will have the ability to manage conflicting priorities within a pressurised environment and be motivated to enable NNC to achieve the best for our residents, ensuring compliance with performance indicators and fostering a positive, proactive approach to development projects.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Planning Officer to join our busy and friendly Development Management Team.

You may be looking to take the next step in your career to the role of Senior Planning Officer, or already be a successful SPO excited by the opportunity to work for a newly formed authority.

  • We are undertaking consultation with the Trade Unions on terms and conditions and the future NNC pay structure and during this time are appointing new employees on interim spot salaries. You will be advised of the outcome and any impact on your role once this work is complete._
