This role presents opportunity to work innovatively & responsively, creating new and informative resources, programmes based on a 'Safe Space' environment including peer support, prevention, and wellbeing initiatives and wellbeing support.

EDI will be at the forefront of your approach. you will strive to celebrate and promote inclusivity.


The role will involve delivering safe space groups and one to one wellbeing support which focus on wellbeing and breaking down barriers to enable empowerment and support people to build confidence, develop skills and strategies to improve and best manage mental health.

This person will work closely with the following communities:


  • LGBTQ+ communities
  • BAME communities
  • Refugee and asylum seekers

Essentials:


  • Experience of working within a mental health
  • Experience of supporting a wide range of people with different backgrounds and experiences
  • An understanding of a range of skills, preventions, interventions and management linked to wellbeing and personcentred support
  • A sound understanding and knowledge of recovery principles and the role of mental health services across Swindon
  • GCSE/O Levels education (94/A*C) in Maths & English (or equivalent numeracy and literacy).
  • Degree or Diploma in an appropriate health and social care field, i.e. psychology _Desirable._
