Description
We are seeking an assistant Estimator to join our Sales and Estimating team.As an Estimator with BMB Steel Structures Ltd you will be working on tenders for large steel bespoke fabrications both structural and architectural.
The role will be to:
- Analyse the customers' requirements to prepare estimate bids to meet project goals, ensuring that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
- Manage prequalification and prebid submissions.
- Obtain raw material and subcontractors' costs to effectively establish accurate material, equipment and labour costs for the project.
- Estimate fabrication times working with our production teams to ensure methodologies are appropriate and efficiencies maintained.
- Compile estimates and bids based on all data gathered and share this with relevant stakeholders, maintain consistent, up to date and reliable data for all bids.
- Prioritise outstanding enquiries in a way to promote customer satisfaction.
What we are looking for:
- Relevant steel estimating experience.
- Excellent time management, multitasking and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to closely collaborate with clients and management
- Excellent research, proposal writing and oral presentation skills.
- Good working knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
- Good IT and numeracy skills.
Job Types:

Pay:
£22,089.00-£40,000.00 per year

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- estimating/surveying: 3 years (preferred)
