The Company
This Senior Planners role is with one of the UK's leading main contractors. They have an excellent reputation and build some of the country's most iconic buildings.
They are a diverse organisation covering most sectors of the built environment and this specific role is within refurbishment and fit out division.
They offer a market leading benefits package and are also known for their commitment to developing their staff. Projects are also varied and diverse ranging from £1m - £80million in the commercial, retail and public sector.The Role:
The focus of this role will be to provide an effective and professional planning and programming service for pre-contract and project teams.
- Manage and report on project progress.
- Understand key performance indicators
- Manage project controls, and metrics.
- Ensure full integration of design and procurement elements of programmes with construction.
- Produce integrated tender programmes, logistic plans and method statements.
- Review programme effectiveness of changes and advise of any delay issues.
- Produce schedules and analyse quotes for project equipment and machinery.
- Participate in multiple projects, supporting live and tender projects, manage a successful completion with mínimal supervision,
- Mentor and advise less experienced planners
- Managing risk
To be successful in this role, you will already have experience of working as a Planner and have a knowledge of commonly used forms of construction contracts as well as an awareness of a variety of performance measurement techniques, such as Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Analysis, and use of Key Performance Indicators.
