Purpose:


As Performance Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of paid and owned media campaigns to attract new audiences, engage with our fans and drive revenue for the club's digital products and experiences, including our App, MUTV, ecommerce and ticketing.


You will be highly target driven to:

  • Acquire new global audiences
  • Reengage valuable known audiences
  • Support content franchises
  • Develop and execute paid strategies with selected platforms
  • Develop strong and valuable partner relationships
  • Grow ecommerce and venue revenue opportunities
  • Support commercial partnerships activations.

The Role:


  • You will lead daytoday planning and delivery of effective digital paid media campaigns to grow our global audiences, drive installs, registrations and subscriptions of the Manchester Unitd ppp, improve reengagement, and increase revenue through ecommerce and venue products.
  • Daytoday ad set up and management of digital media campaigns including:
  • monitoring performance and become skilled at predicting paid media performance, what content fans will engage on different platforms and which audiences to target
- working to a set KPIs including cost per acquisition and ROAS, continually monitoring campaigns performance
- liaising with technology partners and agencies as well as internal stakeholders.

  • Planning, reporting and optimisation across social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tiktok), search (Google & Bing), app (Google UAC, Apple Ads ) native and display advertising campaigns.
  • Strong focus on digital media performance and optimisation through the generation of actionable digital analytics, reporting and insight to reach all app usage, ecommerce, subscriptions and membership KPIs
  • Work closely with the Head of Ecommerce Marketing to activate new paid marketing campaign inline with new products launches, offers and collaborations.
  • Define and execute targeting using customer insight and innovative data solutions such as programmatic targeting to reach our audiences at a relevant time in the right way through channels they most use or respond to.
  • Coordinate and present consistent daily campaign reporting and postcampaign reviews to inform and improve future activity
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of channel effectiveness, mix and attribution through use of analysis and data mining methods, to deliver actionable value to the club.
  • Manage and build strong relationships with all platform or agency partners so that the club gains best possible value and quality from its partners.
  • Ensure all campaigns and projects are delivered on time and budget, and have appropriate approvals meeting legal, regulatory and business requirements.
  • Take a support and advocacy role in embedding digital best practice across the club, communicating insight from digital analytics to drive continuous improvement in channel planning, execution and reporting.
  • Keep up to date with new platforms and initiatives to become an industry expert and report back the business.

The Person:


Solid experience of paid media, social platforms and analytics tools is a must, as is your ability to turn data into insight for better decisions.

You will be analytical and strategic thinking combined with a self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and creative flair. You will be obsessed with our fans and their experience across their lifetime.

  • Proven experience leading delivery of digital paid media campaigns and continuous optimisation of performance, preferably within a membership, subscription or ecommerce business/account.
  • Solid knowledge of digital marketing channels, media buying and compelling growth techniques with a target driven approach.
  • Understanding of tools and techniques used in marketing and audience planning
  • Solid understanding of paid media, social and video for growing and engaging digital audiences.
  • Ability to analyse performance and use data and web analytics to identify opportunities and anticipate any issues that lead to lack of performance.
  • Solid knowledge of paid media platforms and analytics tools.
  • Excellent budgetary skills demonstrating efficiency of spend and effectiveness.
  • Ability to write a strong creative brief and effectively critique creative output.
  • First class project management skills and ability to selfself and lead campaigns.
  • Experience working with Content / Editorial, CRM and Analytics teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across a fast moving, multifaceted organisation.
  • Expertise in performance monitoring / tracking and budget management.
