An exciting opportunity has arisen at Vauxhall Motors Press Shop (Stellantis) in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.

Located just off junction 6/7 of the M53, Vauxhall Motors is a well-established car manufacturer in the area and is looking to expand its Stamping Unit.

We are currently looking to recruit Multi Skilled Die Maintenance to work in the Stamping Unit at the Manufacturing Site.

The positions will be for a minimum of 12 months fixed term contract to work a fixed weekend shift.

The role will be on fixed weekend shift for 24 hrs per week and includes a mixture of day and night shift patterns.

The shifts will be rotational between days and nights on a weekly basis ie one week you will work a Friday and Saturday nightshift (18:00 to 06:00), the following week you will work a Saturday and Sunday dayshift (06:00 to 18:00).

The main responsibilities and role requirements are as follows:

• Reactive die maintenance to quality issues.
• Performing planned die maintenance tasks.
• Support the production teams during production runs.
• Systematic problem solving for repetitive issues/faults.
• CIP – apply continuous improvement process.

Knowledge of Automotive outer sheet metal ( Skin panel )

Draw dies, line dies and automation equipmentSkin panel punch repair & surface preparation experiencePrevious experience of new die try out experience & surface quality improvementWelding experience Hard & soft facing of trim steels T.I.G – M.I.GA sound knowledge of Press Line operation & associated equipment is advantageousFanuc Robot, Programming & set-up advantageousUnderstanding of Hydraulic & Pneumatic circuits advantageousSound interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
