    Or are you seeking a role supporting children who have social, emotional and mental health needs?Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a confident and proactive Pastoral Support Mentor to join this secondary school in Haringey.

    This is a full time, long-term role starting ASAP for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent.

    The School: The school is renowned for being a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London. The school site is set in 20 acres, allowing students the advantage of an unusually spacious site and supporting sporting excellence. With a strong focus on progress, their vision champions high aspirations whilst ensuring that all staff contribute to raising achievement of students, whatever their starting point. The school believe that there should be no barriers that exclude any child from accessing the best opportunities.

    As a Pastoral Support Mentor you will be responsible for the below:

    Managing behaviour and following the schools behaviour policySupporting students in class, small groups and on a 1:1 basisEncouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activitiesContributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each studentCollaborating with staff, parents/carers, and outside agenciesMonitoring and recording student progress and achievementsTo join us and be successful in this role you will need:Previous experience working with children who have SEMH needsStrong behaviour management skillsPatience and resilienceAn Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checksCV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possibleLegal right to work in the UKTradewind are renowned for offering top rates of pay, more CPD than any other agency, great referral bonus and termly networking & social events.
