- We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious individual with great analytical and problemsolving skills to join our awardwinning M&A team.
Role DefinitionKey Responsibilities* - Assisting in creating or developing investor decks, business cases and financial projections for private and public sector clients
- Assisting in the review of business plans and financial statements, inspecting underlying assumptions and financial information, and preparing a report with the key observations
- Supporting the identification of potential M&A targets and buyers by leveraging multiple streams including independent desktop review and collaboration with wider team
- Assisting with business valuations by researching comparable transactions and comparable quoted companies
- Assisting with due diligence fieldwork and the preparation of due diligence reports
- Preparing documentation and evidence for forensic accounting reports to be presented in Court
Main Tasks
- Prepare draft reports, correspondence and letters for review
- Perform company, market and industry research
- Provide analysis and transaction support to Assistant Managers, Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners in the delivery and execution of corporate finance projects
- Attend client meetings when appropriate to develop and strengthen client relations and gain exposure to client interactions
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the services offered by your department and the wider firm, and identify areas where the firm could assist clients
- Delegate work to junior colleagues as and when required, taking responsibility for their utilisation, and assisting by providing effective on the job training
- Contribute to our marketing campaigns, including social media
- Control corporate finance department administrative tasks and ensure template documents are kept up to date, in line with corporate branding
- Identify client service and process improvements and, in conjunction with the wider team, actively promote ideas and suggestions, and participate in all business improvements as part of the firm's commitment to continuous improvement
Professional Qualifications and Education
Required
- A Level or equivalent
- Analysts are required to complete a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience is not essential
