    Job Title: Hand Surgery Clinician

    Location: Lincolnshire

    Contract Type: Sessional

    Are you an experienced medical professional with a passion for hand surgery? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hand Surgery Clinician to join our dynamic healthcare team at ACHE. This is a unique opportunity to provide specialist care in the community and make a significant impact on patient care.

    ACHE (Academy of Community Health Experts) is seeking Independent Clinical Contractors to deliver Hand Surgery in the community and currently have vacancy for GPwSI Hand Surgery or a Specialty doctor in Hand Surgery.

All work carried out at ACHE are at local GP surgeries to provide care with easy access for patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform a wide range of hand surgeries and injections, including but not limited to, carpal tunnel release, trigger finger, Dupuytren's contracture, De Quervain's syndrome and Ulnar nerve release.
    • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care.
    • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and patient education.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
    • Experienced GPs with a specialist interest in hand surgery
    • Completion of specialty training in Orthopaedics with experience in Hand Surgery.
    • Proven experience in performing a variety of hand surgeries independently.
    • Proficiency in the latest surgical techniques
    • Proficiency in local anaesthesia techniques and wound closure.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Essential Criteria

    • GMC registration with licence to practice
    • Hand Surgery Course Certificate
    • Evidence of specialist training in Orthopaedics / CCT certificate
    • Experience of working in Hand Surgery independently
    • Performers List proof for GPs (any performers list in the UK is acceptable)
    • Up to date DBS
    • Personal indemnity to fully cover all patient care delivered within this agreement (ACHE is an independent provider of NHS Services, and all our clinical services are covered under the CNST (clinical negligence scheme for trusts) scheme which provides indemnity via the NHSLA.
    • Date and evidence of last appraisal
    • Two References
