    MS411 - PCV MechanicLocation: NottinghamSalary: £19.61 per hourOverview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking PCV Mechanic on behalf of one of clients. Applications from HGV Mechanics will also be given due consideration.Hours of Work:

    • Sunday to Saturday, five from seven. Varying hours on a rotating shift pattern.
    • 4 x 8 hours and 1 x 7.5 hours shifts
    • 37 paid hours, 39.5 hour week total

    Applications from ex-military personnel are encouraged but all applications will be given due consideration.Duties & Responsibilities:

    • To maintain, inspect, diagnose, repair and test mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
    • To carry out any repairs as necessary to ensure safe and roadworthy vehicles to a high standard of reliability and quality
    • Carry out any reasonable maintenance activities
    • Adhere to health & safety standards

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Have a strong work ethic and understand the need to be reliable and flexible
    • Full UK driving licence
    • PCV driving licence is desired however training may be considered for the right candidate
    • Experience of Cummins & Scania drivetrain & electrical systems
    • Experience of modern electrical systems & OEM diagnostic systems
    • At least 3 years post qualifying experience ideally in a main dealer or PSV workshop
    • Holder of a recognised apprenticeship qualification (City and Guilds or NVQ level 3)
