We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to enable clients with complex needs to move towards recovery.

As a Support Worker in our High Support Accommodation Service, you will work in a psychologically and trauma informed way, be values led and looking to grow both personally and professionally.

The Role:


The aim of a Support Worker is to deliver person-centred support to clients who are on a journey to recovery and who live in our High Support Accommodation.

Working in a psychologically, adversity and trauma informed way, this includes:


  • Holding a caseload of complex clients who you meet 1:1 at least weekly
  • Developing and facilitating groups and activities for clients
  • Developing support plans and working creatively with clients
  • Maintaining detailed case notes
  • Helping clients to develop new skills and independence
  • Helping clients to manage income and reduce debt
  • Responding to incidents and ensuring accurate reporting
  • Promoting the safety and wellbeing of clients
  • Supporting the housing team to effectively manage the building
  • Championing hope and courage

Second Step provides a variety of accommodation-based services as part of the Bristol City Council commissioned Pathways, as well as multiple other housing related services.

Currently accommodation-based services are located in Bristol, however, Second Step has services throughout the South West.

Second Step is a leading provider of mental health and accommodation services.
