The purpose of this role is to provide high quality finance solutions to support the achievement of strategic business objectives through proactive Finance business partnering.

Finance Business Partners will build a credible productive partnership with the Operational Business. This role will also maintain links to the central finance teams in terms of forecasting and budgetary control.

As the Finance Business Partner - Vehicle Programmes you'll be responsible for:

  • Deliver finance solutions to support the profitability of Defender vehicle programmes
  • Support the Defender Program Chief to achieve short and long term strategic objectives by delivering plans and initiatives through Finance Business Partnering
  • Identify opportunities and risks using clear financial reporting delivered from the central MI&A finance team
  • Use financial reports with operational and senior stakeholders to inform key business decision making and strategic business planning for Defender
  • Cross functional working with the wider finance community to deliver finance strategies / initiatives

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:

  • Proven Finance Business Partner experience ideally gained within a large, complex organisation
  • Sound financial and commercial business acumen shown through evidence of developing, introducing new or innovative practices/processes in support of strategic business goals.
  • Exceptional numerical, analytical skills supported by advanced communication and presentation skills used to translate financial issues for operational teams
  • Ability to multitask, work accurately at speed and under pressure balancing delivery of conceptual work with attention to detail and hands on delivery
  • Strong analytical background, project management and delivery skills
  • Customer focused ability to determine service requirements and performance measures, and initiate solutions
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred

Desirable:

  • International experience ideally working for Bluechip organisations
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel
  • Proven Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop and nurture relationships internally operations and externally with suppliers
  • Continuous improvement 'mind set' with the ability to identify and implement robust solutions and enhancements
  • CIMA or ACCA qualified or working towards
