Post 1: 37 hours per week, Full time, Permanent
Post 2: 28 hours per week, Part time, Permanent
**Please find details of the work patterns below: - **Based within Libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs you will work flexibly within the team to deliver an efficient and effective service whilst maintaining excellent customer care.
You will need to be an individual who is highly motivated, well-organised, and a problem-solver. You will have a proven track record of excellent communication and ICT skills.
The ability to use your own initiative and work without direct supervision as well as being a good team member is a requirement of the roles.
You will be required to conduct outreach work with local organisations, schools and businesses to promote the library service within the community and increase participation in libraries for children and young people.
You will build and maintain effective partnerships within and outside the service, dealing with complex enquiries, developing staff potential and implementing new ways of working to ensure an effective service and best value are essential.
As an officer you will be in a supervisory role and responsible for apprentices, volunteers and work placements and to support other colleagues where required.
You will be responsible for all back office duties including but not limited to, all documents/reports to be kept up to date, statistics reporting, smooth running of the buildings and reporting where necessary.
You will require an understanding of the Universal Library Offers set out by Libraries Connected, as these offers form a major part of service delivery within Libraries.
In line with the library strategy, the post holders will participate in promotional and development activities and events for customers across the service and bring about improvements to customer service delivery.
