Requirements:

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our small, but supportive and innovative, finance team in maintaining the integrity of ISHA's financial records.

You will work closely with the Finance Income Coordinator and other Finance colleagues and your work will also help other departments and our residents.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Day to day accounting for rent charges and rent payments, reconciliation of rent related control accounts and any other accounts that may be allocated, on a timely basis using Housing and Finance systems.
  • Assisting our Customer Accounts team in resolving queries regarding customer accounts. Processing of approved refunds to customers in line with the applicable procedure.
  • Administration of the reregistration of fair rent on secure tenancies.
  • Updating rent and service charge records as required and investigating suspense account postings.
  • Setting up and amending customer direct debits.
  • Raising sales invoices, monitoring and posting receipts and taking initial steps for debt recovery.

What we are looking for

You'll be able to demonstrate a customer-focused attitude, the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your own work effectively, along with the desire to continuously improve the service.

You don't need to have worked in Housing before, but ideally you should have experience of working in a finance team with some knowledge of related IT systems.

You'll also need strong communication skills to work with other team members, the wider organisation, and external stakeholders.

About ISHA
We are a small but ambitious housing association at a critical juncture.

Our ambition is for the communities we are anchored in and exist to serve, and we have done and achieved much over the past few years.

But in these challenging times we know we'll achieve nothing unless we are equally ambitious for our own people.

Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions.

We strive to build a more diverse organisation, where everyone feels empowered to bring, and be, their best self to work.

We can't be a brilliant landlord if we don't partner with brilliant colleagues. Could you be one of them and be trusted to make _the_ difference?

If this sounds exciting, we want you on our team. Please do apply.

Staff Benefits

We'll offer you a generous pension scheme (up to 10% employer matched contributions and a death in service benefit), 29 days annual leave (increasing after five years' service), eye care vouchers, a cycle to work scheme and other great benefits (see attached).

We have an evolving wellbeing offer, that is being developed following employee feedback, and we will invest in your professional development with on-going training and career development opportunities.

Inclusion and Diversity

Asking for adjustments

This role is based at our Head Office but there is some flexibility to work in a hybrid way if preferred.
