Requirements:


We are looking for someone who is highly organised, with strong attention to detail, who can help us drive improvements in data protection compliance across the organisation, as well as support other areas of governance work.

If this is you, come and join us at ISHA as our Data Protection & Governance Officer.


This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience in data protection compliance or for an experienced administrator with a strong interest in data protection to expand their knowledge and skills in this area.

It is an interesting and varied role which will allow you to work with senior managers across the organisation and interact with our Board.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • To support with internal data breach investigations
  • To work collaboratively with managers to help them comply with ISHA's data retention guidelines
  • To support the Governance Manager & Company Secretary in Board administration including communications to the Board members, assisting with arrangements around Board Member recruitment, induction, appraisals, and ongoing professional development (such as, attending training and conferences)
  • To attend five Board meetings per year and take meeting minutes

You will need to be flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic to deal with a busy and varied workload and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

A great sense of humour is also a plus


You will need to be able to work to competing deadlines, ensuring accuracy and maintaining a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

You should be curious and strive for continuous improvement in your work.


You don't need to have worked in Housing before, but you should have demonstrable knowledge or experience of (and enthusiasm for) data protection.
