Description

We're a small business, with big ambitions, which is why we're looking for another superstar member of our growing consultancy team.

This is a pivotal role for us; our Consultants provide a best-in-class service to our clients in terms of HR expertise to drive organisations forward; we focus on each stage of the employment cycle, including:

  • Onboarding and off-boarding processes
  • Developing people documentation (policies and handbooks),
  • The provision of commercially focused HR and employment law advice
  • Running people surveys
  • Developing and executing people plans and more strategic areas of HR
  • Recruitment and talent acquisition activity
  • Learning & development, particularly focused on people processes, management and leadership development

In addition to being an extension to our client's teams for HR expertise, our consultants are also responsible for ensuring all activity undertaken is within the scope of the client's consultancy agreement, to ensure the work we carry out is profitable.

Working in a small business means you will from time to time need to turn your hand to different things to help with the running of the business - no 2 days are the same and we're always learning and developing.

We just love what we do

About the role:

You will have a variety of retained clients who you will be the nominated point of contact for.

You will nurture these relationships and support your clients with the provision of commercially-focused HR support across the entire employment cycle.

In addition to retained support, you may also be involved in managing HR projects for ad-hoc clients, utilising your people expertise to ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget and the allocated timeframe.

This means you'll develop critical project management skills, something that will be a huge advantage in your future career.

Paramount to the success of this role is your ability to be comfortable with leading discussions around consultancy fees and spotting opportunities to increase our revenue through the provision of additional services such as recruitment, training and people projects.

We don't sell our services, we solve problems for clients through our support, so although we're not in the business of 'selling' in the traditional sense, confidence with having conversations regarding fees and generating revenue is a must - don't worry, we don't expect you to have necessarily done this before, so we'll equip you with all the tools, but having confidence to lean into these discussions is a must for our consultants.

A bit about you:

Ideally we're looking for someone who's got some experience in the world of consultancy, as its' fast pace and variety of work means consultancy isn't suited to everyone.

However if you're reading this and think you have what it takes and don't have any formal consultancy experience, get in touch as we'd love to explore that with you.

So if you're an existing consultant, or you're ready to step into the world of consultancy and do something a bit different from a traditional in-house HR role, read on.

To be successful in this role, you'll have solid experience in HR, with a demonstrable track record of providing commercially-focused HR and employment law advice.

You'll have lots of confidence and won't shy away from a fast-paced workload, where you'll be talking to business owners and leaders frequently about their people challenges.

We look for people with a positive attitude, with lots of initiative, the ability to be communicative, be good at detail and above all, happy to get stuck in

The rewards:

Flexibility, hard work and fun sum us up at The HR Consultants

We're a friendly bunch - we love what we do, and we work hard for our clients.

We know work-life balance is important, so in return for your hard work and positivity, you'll get a generous salary with bonus potential, 26 days holiday and the opportunity to work in a collaborative and flexible environment.

In return for your support to drive our revenue and profitability, we give you a share of the profits, with a generous bonus scheme paid quarterly throughout the year.

That means this is a role where you can really boost your earning potential beyond that of a traditional HR role.

This is a hybrid role, with 2 days being in our office in Stratford-on-Avon; we don't do micromanagement, so you'll have lots of autonomy to manage your diary and the opportunity to really develop your skill-set, both in HR and beyond.
