    Description

    Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you have the skills to inspire and support students in their scientific journey? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you A SEN school is seeking a Science Teacher to join them in September 2024.

    A renowned SEN school in Southwark for students aged 11 to 16 is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join them full-time from September.

    The Role:

    • Strong knowledge of the science curriculum at the secondary level.
    • Organised and professional manner.
    • Work effectively with other members of staff.
    • A Science Teacher with the ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress.
    • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons to SEN pupils.
    • Compliance with the schools' policies and the reliable implementation of these.
    • A patient and understanding manner are essential as the students learn at well below the national average for their age range.

    Requirements:

    • A science-related degree is highly desirable.
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    • Demonstrated experience teaching science at the secondary level.
    • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
    • A Science Teacher with excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
