We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our team, to play a central part in the continued development and success of our Geriatric Services at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.


When appointed, you will become part of new innovative developments in the provision of care for older people in Coventry and Warwickshire.

This is an exciting time particularly as you will play a pivotal role in our established Consultant led Acute Frailty service staffed by a comprehensive multidisciplinary team including frailty roving team alongside community staff and the voluntary sector.

There is also opportunity to join existing team and to expand sub specialty interest in area of Orthogeriatric service, Elderly Major Trauma Care, Oncogeriatric Multi-disciplinary clinic, Falls service, dementia service and Rapid Access Clinic with the aim to reduce hospital admission.


You will:


  • Be expected to contribute to the education and training of junior doctors, with opportunity to contribute to the teaching of medical students from Warwick Medical School.
  • Take part in the general medicine oncall rota
  • Deliver a firstclass Consultantled service for older people in Coventry and Rugby.
  • Have the opportunity to develop services and create new models of care to enhance the care of older people.
  • Demonstrate financial awareness and understand the impact of you and your team's decisions.
  • Be an integral part of the Care of the Elderly department.
  • Contribute to outpatient services.
  • Be encouraged to develop a subspecialty interest.
