We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join us as the Head of Finance at our Reigate office with hybrid working.


Job Details:


  • Fulltime or 4 days per week
  • Salary up to £75,000 per annum (plus bonus and car allowance).


Reporting to the Finance Director and working as part of the finance team, this is a broad and varied role.

You will facilitate a holistic view of the financial performance against strategic goals, bringing insights and driving action. You will consolidate and create clear management information to enable the leadership team to make operational and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:


Group Reporting:

  • Preparation of reporting packs in conjunction with the various Business departments, as well as the Board (in line with reporting timelines)
  • Conduct indepth financial analysis, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights to drive operational efficiency and profitability
  • Uploading of financials to the Dynamo portal
  • Control the annual business planning process with departmental input, cascading the overall strategy to the SLT
  • Monitor Group performance against all plans, budgets, and forecasts

Business Partnering:

  • Identify and support stakeholders with opportunities for investment case development
  • Preparation and submission of final budgets for review at the Business Unit level
  • Analysis of Commercial (inc. Procurement) performance and KPI reporting
  • Analysis of all operational areas' performance and KPI reporting

Analysis:

  • Financial modelling for a range of scenario analysis to support the making of key decisions across the company
  • Forecasting at the Business Unit level identifying trends as well as risks and opportunities
  • Adhoc work during the month for specific issues that are identified. For example, further detailed and deeper analysis of results, problem identification and resolution.
  • Investment evaluations for significant capital spend and new sites

Key Skills:


  • CIMA qualified with a minimum of 5 years PQE
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successful financial management and leadership
  • Able to deputise in the absence of the Finance Director
  • Own and develop the business partner function across all departments
  • Experience in bottomup budget preparation with stakeholder input from the operational teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders effectively
  • Experience in bringing complex financial/operational information to life in a creative way
