Market Digital Communications Officer

To provide a best in class digital communications service for the market, including use of social media and other digital channels.
We are looking for people with the proven skills and abilities to engage, improve and maintain communications

36 Hour p/w

09:00 -17:30

£275 PAYE - £347.74 Umbrella
The Role

To work effectively across the Communications and Campaigns team to ensure digital communications is integrated in all relevant communications and campaigns activity
To maintain and develop the Romford Markets digital communications presence including social media accounts ensuring this is aligned to the Council's vision, objectives, corporate campaigns and other relevant public messaging
Support the development and implementation of integrated social media campaigns
Help to change behaviour, engage and improve perceptions of the market and the council
Produce digital assets such as videos, editing, animations, live feeds, stories, infographics and picture posts to support key communications
To work effectively across the Communications and Campaigns team to ensure digital communications is integrated in all relevant communications and campaigns activity
Financial/Resources responsibility for: Digital communications to support the Council's key campaigns with a budget up to £40k

About you

Experienced in video production, editing and design skills for social media graphics and content writing

Knowledge and experience of delivering socio / geo-targeted communications campaigns through CAN or organically on Facebook etc

Providing high quality digital communications advice and development to officers

Politically astute

Experience of reputation management and handling high profile media issues

Able to work one Saturday or Sunday during one calendar month

To provide an out of hours social media emergency service as necessary

Proof-reading experience
