    Description

    Welcome to the Quality Technician position at our company!

    • Salary: £28,000 - £29,000 (depending on experience)
    • Hourly rate: £13.98 - £14.48

    General Description:

    Ensure the company's interests are protected at all times while maintaining strict confidentiality on all business matters and adherence to company procedures.

    Responsibilities:

    • Quality Technician responsible for ensuring product readiness for shipping to customers.

    Main purpose of roles:

    • Conducting quality assurance at various stages of production.
    • Approving product compliance with UK and International standards.

    Main Duties:

    • Inspecting products during Line and Final Inspection.
    • Ensuring precision parts meet specifications.
    • Issuing product certifications.
    • Managing non-conformance reports.
    • Ensuring product compliance and calibration.
    • Collaborating with Manufacturing team for department improvement.
    • Supporting Test & Production Groups as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Performing goods in inspection as per quality alert process.
    • Continuous improvement of Inspection processes.
    • Reviewing data for failures and implementing solutions.
    • Maintaining and improving the company's Quality Management System.
    • Analysis of business KPIs and Quality strategy support.
    • Ensuring correct usage of Quality Management System procedures.
    • Adhering to Health and Safety procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Formal qualification in electronic engineering (ONC, HNC, HND, BTec or equivalent).
    • Minimum two years' experience in quality/inspection environment.
    • Experience with basic & electronic test equipment.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with IPC-A-610 standards.
    • Certified to IPC-A-610.
    • Ability to read Engineering drawings.
    • Strong communication skills.

    • Willingness to perform various company-related activities.
    • Supporting duties outside the job description.
    • Maintaining a clear desk policy and good housekeeping.
    • Developing staff and department procedures.
