Head of Compliance
£70,000 + bonus (c.15%) + annual shares
1-2 days per week in London (3-4 days from home)
Absolute Recruit are supporting a London-based, Fintech start-up in their search for a Head of Compliance. The business is VC-backed at Series A stage, looking to raise a Series B later this year
Core Duties

Act as the nominated compliance officer, SMF 16 and the MRLO SMF 1
Set out the compliance framework, controls, policies and processes, ensuring the business operations meet all regulatory compliance standards
Implement and manage AML and transaction monitoring
Develop new strategies to identify risk, creating action plans in response
Prepare reports for the senior management team and Board of Directors, highlighting compliance issues
5 years of compliance experience within a Fintech (Payments would be highly desirable)
Previous experience holding SMF 16 and SMF 17 / MRLO highly desirable or having the experience required to take this on
Excellent knowledge of UK regulations including FCA, AML, KYC
Able to communicate well with senior management team and Board of Directors
Prior experience building and developing processes, controls and framework/policies

Salary & Benefits
