You will be an apprentice with us for one year and then you will be in a position to take a role within your chosen division.

As an Apprentice in the Regulatory Authorisations team, you will study towards either your Business Administration Level 3 or your Level 3 Compliance and Risk qualification dependant on your previous studies, skillset and interests.
Once you have completed the apprenticeship, you can expect to progress into a junior role within the Regulatory Authorisations team, furthering your skills as a corporate professional.
This apprenticeship is a great stepping stone into a variety of business areas that you may wish to specialise in, further the future.
The Regulatory Authorisations team have hired 6 apprentices in previous years, who have all been valuable members of the team and have progressed further within the business area.
What you'll be doing:
Financial services play a critical role in the lives of everyone in the UK.
The Financial Conduct Authority (The Regulator) protect consumers from bad conduct and protect the integrity of the UK financial system.
The Appointments team is a small team of 11 individuals, within the wider Regulatory Authorisations division of 25.The team ensures that Advisers who join SJP are fit and proper to do so, in line with the FCAs standards.
This process must be completed in line with Financial Services regulation.
As part of the apprenticeship, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of these regulations and how a wealth manager operates.
Other typical day to day responsibilities may include:
- Using a range of third-party providers (Equifax, CreditSafe, FCA Register) to background check individuals and businesses.
- Referencing employment history.
- Formally appointing Financial Professionals into the SJP Partnership.
- Liaising with other teams within the division and offering support where needed.

If you are interested in role, you will need to hold a minimum of level 4 in English Language and Mathematics.
