Alvarez & Marsal's Indirect Tax team assists clients in managing and mitigating Value-Added Tax (VAT), customs duties, environmental taxes, and excise duties, among other indirect taxes.


Whenever organisations sell or move goods or services either domestically or internationally, the A&M Indirect Team offers specialised planning and support on all areas of indirect tax to help clients manage complex tax regulations and requirements.

Our international network of experts manages all aspects of indirect tax to help you avoid or mitigate costly mistakes, interest and penalties.


We support and guide clients through indirect tax changes with a hands-on approach globally and advise on any changes to their supply chain or business which may have an impact on indirect taxes.


The Role:


Technical:


  • Completing options to tax
  • Dealing with clients in respect of VAT queries
  • Drafting advice to clients
  • Drafting correspondence to and liaising with HMRC
  • Completion of/review of VAT returns
  • Some experience of dealing with land and property VAT queries, partial exemption, transactions and due diligence, international VAT or insolvency would be a bonus.

Qualifications:


  • ATT or CTA qualified
  • Experience working in a VAT role (either in house or in a consulting environment)
