Send & Inclusion Head of Service - Bristol, United Kingdom - NXGEN
Description
Our client is currently looking to recruit a SEND & Inclusion Head of Service on an initial 3 month contract.
Key duties
- Leadership of a number of operational services and functions, which often involve highly significant and complex joined up working to motivate staff, drive and enable achievement of service aims and outcomes, and meet current and future needs of customers
- Contribute to the directorate Business Plan, Operational Improvement Plans, Team Ways of Working and Performance Management in line with Key Performance indicators.
- Demonstrate the use of high quality data and contextual detail that evidences the impact of services on the long term outcomes for children and young people, reporting as appropriate to directorate, corporate, elected member, stakeholder, Ofsted or DfE fora.
- Manage identified service budgets
- Ensure that any complaints are dealt with and managed in a timely fashion in line with BCC protocol, and that all FOI requests received by the Service are completed within mandatory timescales.
- Delivery of Corporate and City strategic plans, working with appropriate SEND, Children & Families, Safeguarding and other teams, partners and national bodies, with regard to the SEND Code of Practice, high quality specialist provision, effective professional services and safeguarding.
- Responsibility for Early Years Inclusion functions
