£22,816 to £24,336 (pro rata) per annum

An opportunity has arisen to join our amazing team as a Senior Healthcare Assistant. We have positions for both nights and days shifts. Our main focus is enabling people to die at home and giving much needed support to their loved ones.

The role involves working within patients' homes supporting the patient with their needs and enabling their loved ones to rest or know that there is someone with them.

Whilst you would be on your own in the house, you would be fully supported by the on-duty sister both on the phone and in person.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the equivalent of NVQ level 3 and the passion to care for people at the end of life in their own homes.

You would also need the flexibility to work within a small team that puts patients' and their loved ones' needs at the heart of everything we do.

You must be able to travel to patients' homes across South Devon. The work is hard, but the rewards are immense.

Rowcroft Hospice is an independent charity that provides comfort, support and specialist care to over 2,000 patients and their loved ones across South Devon each year.

Our Vision is to make every day the best it can be for all patients, and their families, living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon.

At Rowcroft, we pride ourselves in supporting staff to develop and offer training to increase your skills and knowledge.

You will be given a full induction, giving you the opportunity to meet other teams in the hospice and work with different members of the Hospice at Home team.

You will be assigned a mentor to support you in your new role and help you achieve the competencies that we have developed.

Our work can be tough, although very rewarding, and we provide clinical supervision to ensure that we can support you through the tough times.
