Operations & Purchasing Coordinator
Based in Hillington, Coughtrie International has been manufacturing luminaires for arduous environments since 1940.

Following a review of roles and responsibilities, we are now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Operations and Purchasing Coordinator to join our team.

This is a multi-functional role that will suit someone who likes to be kept busy and is capable working independently and as part of a team.


  • Purchasing electronic components
  • Goods in and good out duties
  • Using dedicated courier software to select the best and most costeffective courier for the transaction
  • QC of final products prior to shipping
  • Using and interrogating an Emax manufacturing system
  • Ensuring that stock is always stored in the correct location
  • Monitoring stock levels of common components
  • When required, assembling and testing of light fittings or working in the electrical assembly cell
  • High standards of housekeeping in the areas worked
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing suggestions and solutions where appropriate


This is a hands on role and requires a person who is self-motivated and a team player who has a reputation for making things happen.


  • Excellent ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Knowledge and experience of working with electrical components and electrical assembly
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working with an ERP system
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Preferably has a fork lift licence
  • High standards of computer literacy
  • A hands on, 'can do' attitude
Desirable

  • Electrical assembly experience with a good understanding of working with single and multi core cables, following schematics and electrical drawings
  • Experience of working with molex, micro and mini plugs, sockets and crimps
  • Forklift licence
You should have at least 5 years' experience, 3 of which in an electromechanical production business.

Hours of work: 36 hours Tues - Fri 7.30am to 5.00pm

£30,000.00 per year
