Description

To provide support within the Respiratory Diagnostics Service to deliver high quality Diagnostic Testing. To follow Policies and Procedures appropriate to the task and to liaise with higher grades of staff as appropriate.

Will be required to complete Spirometry Training to ARTP standards and successfully complete Certification and Registration, within a specific time scale.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, motivated, highly organised and has a passion for delivering excellent patient care.

Full training will be given and PPE provided.

A fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and rapidly developing diagnostic service to support an increasing demand for Pulmonary Function and Sleep Services within the Bolton Area.

Currently based at Bolton One, however as the Service is a new and exciting delivery of Community Spirometry services specific to the G.P.

Practices within the Bolton Area it is envisaged that once skilled to ARTP Accreditation, cross
- site working will be required.

To independently (on completion of training) perform Daily Calibration of Equipment, Spirometry, Reversibility Testing and Fenos or similar simple tests to all referrals from within the Trust.
Support Senior Physiologists with the more complex diagnostic tests such as Challenge Testing, Shuttle Walk Tests, Reversibility, and Capillary Blood Gases should this be required.
To support cardiac arrests as required
Basic Life support Mandatory training will be required to support this.
To accurately record patient's data.
To assist in the cleaning and disinfection protocols as required by service demands.
To work collaboratively and proactively with colleagues to ensure services meet changing healthcare needs.
