Description

You will also have responsibility, and undertake applicable compliance, when necessary, over indirect tax matters, local/ regional transfer pricing and work with Finance colleagues to appropriately managetax-related accounts.

You will be part of new productforums and similar project initiatives inclusive of structured and cross border transactions, and will be responsible for sign-offs, as appropriate.

Lastly, you will monitor tax-related legislative/regulatory developments and advise on UK/Europe tax risks.

A key component of this position is that you will provide support to Head of Tax, Group Tax colleagues, Europe CFO, and to the global network of businesses and will deliver clear strategic and commercial solutions within the framework of the bank's corevalues and tax policy.

You will also add value in assisting the relevant businesses achieve their targets for profitability and growth and to comply with group reporting requirements for annual and half year returns.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following

Extensive years of broad tax experience which includes international/foreign tax matters

Relevant professional qualification

ACA and/or CTA, CPA
Sound analytical skills with ability to understand, interpret and articulate business operating principles, key drivers of business value, and operating levers
