Job Purpose

The role will be supporting engagement activity to deliver our start for life programme, this will include facilitating consultation activity in communities and aiding us to promote individual services and new programmes, both in person and by helping us create marketing materials.

To develop and deliver a comprehensive engagement and communications plan to support the client's Climate Change strategy with both internal and external audiences.

To work seamlessly between the climate change team and the external affairs team to ensure a joined up approach which maximises impact across this complex programme of work.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

To lead on the development, management and delivery of an outward facing communications and engagement programme to ensure that local people and other key stakeholders are informed, listened to and involved in the client's climate change work.

Work with colleagues in the communications team and wider external affairs team to ensure delivery of communication and engagement activity related to climate change, and ensure consistency of message

To manage the client's resident engagement in relation to climate change, including driving behavioural change and public campaigning activity.

Working with the web team and communications team, help develop the client's digital climate change work, including climate change aspects of our website and other digital platforms

Raise awareness of climate change the client's work by preparing information for the public through our digital and print media, as well as contributing to public campaigns to inform and change public behaviours.

To proactively manage stakeholder communications and engagement ensuring that organisations and other stakeholders are informed and involved in the client's climate work.

To organise and oversee engagement events with key stakeholders, internally and externally.

ensure internal communications work is consistent with the client's external messaging and campaigning.

Contribute to the client's climate change strategy and management by providing advice and support on all aspects of communications and engagement.
