Permanent Retail Supervisor required for local charitable organisation based in Larne.

Job Purpose:


To supervise the charity shop whilst ensuring an efficient and effective management of all volunteer assistants, premises, stock and providing a quality retail service.


Recognise opportunities for shop development to include gaining donations, recycling, selling online, utilising social media platforms to maximise sales and increase profitability.


Duties will include:


  • Maximise sales of donated goods and products to maximise sales.
  • Ensure appropriate systems/procedures of donated goods are maintained, dated, priced, fit for purpose in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Bank deposits
  • Key holder, open and close the shop premises and to respond to any emergency call out if required.
  • Provide an excellent customer service
  • Assisting the Retail Manager with, publicising the charity retail shops, and preparing monthly sales reports
  • Promote, organise special events and promotions in order to capitalise on opportunities presented by the shop.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, support and supervision of the volunteer assistants.

Essential Criteria:


  • Previous retail supervisory experience to include stock control, rotation and merchandising.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • IT proficient with the ability to utilise social media and online selling platforms.

Hours of work:
Tuesday - Saturday 9.00 am pm


Salary:
£11.28 per hr
