DATABASE & SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR OUTSIDE IR35 REMOTE
- server administration
- provision of expertise to programmes and projects

The post holder has responsibility for managing the support and maintenance of the following systems
:RelativityOne, Jira, Egress and Sharepoint.

Main Duties of this Role:

Database Maintenance and Installation

In consultation with user representatives, facilities managers and contractors, will plan, schedule and supervise all maintenance tasks and procedures ensuring they are carried out effectively and efficiently to agreed levels of service or specific requirements of service level agreements.

Database Performance

Monitors trends in database activity and ensures efficient access to data, working with data analysis and database design functions where appropriate.

Initiates regular exercises to optimise database performance. Conducts investigations on system performance and system usage, and makes improvements.

Service Delivery
Ensures that our service delivery targets are met to agreed service levels.

You will diagnose any service delivery issues that fall under your remit and initiate actions to improve these whilst continually reviewing operational processes and procedures for their effectiveness and efficiency.

Facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support design, build and delivery to meet the user needs.

Build a culture of continuous delivery and improvement, ensuring that key processes are regularly analysed, maintained and improved.

Storage and Recovery Management

Plans for backup and recovery of database ensuring backup is carried out as per plan moreover plans and manages exercises to prove recovery procedures are appropriate and ensures that recovery plans are tested regularly.

Reviews capacity, performance, availability and other operational metrics and takes appropriate action to ensure corrective and proactive maintenance of storage and backup systems to support the requirement to protect business information.
