Senior Electronics Design Engineer - Glasgow (Hybrid) - To £50k


Lorien's highly successful Glasgow based client is a market leader in the creation and provision of cutting-edge medical technical solutions and products.

The company has grown strongly and consistently over the past ten years, even through times of globaleconomic slowdown, and they have a healthy product development pipeline which will enable this growth to continue in the future.


On the back of a boom in business demand, they are now in the process of significant internal and they're now looking to add a new Senior Electronics Design Engineer.


Here's an outline below to give you an insight of some of the duties involved, and in return for your efforts they are happy to offer not only hybrid remote working arrangements (average 3 days a week in office) with their R&D Hub based in Glasgow, flexiblestart and end times to work around your routine, early finishes every Friday, and a wide range of other great people-focused benefits on top of competitive salaries.


About the Role:


  • Work as part of the team on production release and support of the latest products and systems.
  • Full control of the architecture of electronic circuits from initial ideas to release of the product whilst completing maintenance
  • Use your skills to enhance the debugging, simulation and validation of these circuits whilst also testing and reporting results into the Development team
  • Ongoing testing of the reliability of the circuits and products alongside the reliability and reporting this information in a technical document.
  • Throughout the product life cycle you will be required to transfer the design data sets to the production team for manufacturing and support.

About You:


  • Proven track record in microcontroller, mixed digital and analogue electronic circuit design
  • Thorough product design knowledge from specification through to delivery, with consideration for Design for Test and Design for Manufacturing with practical experience in Schematics Capture and PCB Design Tools
  • Debugging skills, as well as the ability to integrate/validate electronic and system designs
  • Understanding of EMC/LVD regulatory testing and product design approval process
