We are currently recruiting a Chartered Building Surveyor with experience in construction ideally within warehousing, distribution or logistics. This is a Sunday Times Top 100 Employer.

A global company with a strong UK presence specialising in offering project management and consultancy services to the construction industry.


Overview

My clients dedicated Building Surveying Team at RLB proactively manage and undertake surveys, formulate designs and specifications, administrate projects and programmes plus various other bespoke services to ensure their clients estate remains well maintained and achieves its full potential.

They pride themselves on the quality of their service to their clients and enjoy long term relationships with them.


The National Programmes business unit is a sector focused team, actively operating and investing in the Logistics and Manufacturing, Retail, Life Science and the Public Sector arenas.

Their surveyors work in close contact with the client, advising them on legal and financial matters that arise during the project.

Experience in these particular sectors would be advantageous for these particular roles, albeit as a business they span all sectors and appreciate that skills are transferable.

They are currently recruiting a Chartered Building Surveyor to join a client focused team within the National Programmes unit.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join and strengthen the team, taking responsibility for providing all core surveying services on several interesting areas of projects.

Their clients tend to have large national portfolios so travelling and overnight stays maybe required.

  • Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies
  • Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards

Person Specification:


  • Degree qualified in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline
  • CDM / Health & Safety exposure
  • Strong technical delivery experience
  • MRICS or membership of other relevant professional body (Chartered)
  • Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner
  • Excellent specification writing skills
  • Good understanding of JCT Contracts
  • Track record in project management of projects from inception to completion
  • Evidence of working with multiple stakeholders
  • Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery
  • Able to build longterm relationships
  • Previously employed by a consultancy
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with teams and prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines independently
  • A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious

Location:

Geographically located across the country.


Salary:


Professional:
£40-£60k (Inclusive of package)

Senior Professional:
£50-£70k (Inclusive of package)
