    An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of an experienced and motivated Mental Health Social Care management team. The Team manager post has an important role within the Adult Care & Integration service to support Rotherham Metropolitan Borough council's (RMBC), operational service manager in the operational delivery of the service, risk management and assurance of the local authority's duties and responsibilities under the Care Act, Mental Health Act and safeguarding.

    The post holder will be a strong leader undertaking the day-to-day management and supervision of the social work and social care team. To ensure the efficient and effective assessment of needs focusing on the desire to improve outcomes and wellbeing. Overseeing the team's compliance with the Care Act. Establish links to Crisis resolution and home treatment teams, hospital liaison services, local area PCN's and partners to promote independence, social inclusion and wellbeing. The post holder will also be required to have a clear operational oversight of activity within RMBC and aligned RDaSH Mental Health service delivery.

    The post holder will be accountable for both the performance management and budget management of their service area and will work closely with other team managers and Service Managers to ensure that RMBC standards are met, and that continuous development and service improvement is achieved.

    The post holder will report to the Operational Service Manager and will also support the Head of Service following a period of change, transformation, and business improvement.

    You should be:

    • A highly skilled forward thinking team manager/practitioner, with the ability to demonstrate positive leadership, including the management and supervision of staff.
    • Passionate about working within mental health services, specifically Adult's with complex needs and be passionate about making a positive difference.
    • Qualified and registered social worker.
    • Able to demonstrate you have a good understanding of the Care Act, Safeguarding, Mental Health Act and strength based innovative practice.
    • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
    • Committed to promoting coproduction.
    • Willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team and service.
