2237 Job Description
I am an elderly lady living at home with my husband near Bonchester Bridge and am looking for

someone to join my small team of Personal Assistants who support me with living as independent a

life at home as possible. Given my location, travel time is included and paid.


Main tasks and responsibilities

Morning - visits are 1 hour in duration

  • Please come in and prompt me through to the bathroom to get out of my nightwear and
ready for a wash/shower.

  • Once in the shower please assist me with washing.
  • Please ensure I am adequately dried, checking skin integrity and reporting any breakdowns.
  • Please then prompt and assist with dressing for the day ahead, ensuring I am wearing clean
continence aids.

  • Please leave my toothbrush with toothpaste on it by the sink and prompt me to clean my
teeth.

  • Please then prompt and assist me through to the kitchen to prepare my breakfast.
  • Finally, please support me with preparing my breakfast fruit with cereal on the top.

Evening - visits are 1 hour in duration

  • Please come in and prompt me through to the bathroom to begin my evening routine.
  • Please prompt me to use the toilet, if required.
  • Please assist me with having a wash at the sink and then into clean nightwear, ensuring I am
wearing clean continence aids.

  • Please leave my toothbrush with toothpaste on it by the sink and prompt me to clean my
teeth.

  • Please then prompt and assist me through to bed.
  • Finally, please ensure that I have all I need for the night.

  • The ability to remain confidential and professional at all times is a must.

Hours of work

  • Visits are twice daily with a degree of flexibility around times to suit both the client and the
Personal Assistant.

  • Both visits are 1 hour in duration and 30 minutes travel time per visit is also included.

The terms
- £16.00 per hour.

  • 5.6 weeks annual leave per year, calculated on a prorata basis.
