Merrifield Consultants are thrilled to partner Cure Parkinson's to find a motivated Major Gifts Officer to support the charity's Head of Philanthropy to identify opportunities and increase funds raised in by the charity's Major Donors.
This includes supporting,researching, and stewarding prospects and current donors.Job Title:

Key Responsibilities:
- Comanage the major donor prospect pipeline by reviewing, qualifying, and prioritising prospects, ensuring a high quality, insightled prospect pipeline for the major donor team.
- Communicate regular updates to donors according to their needs ensuring that Cure Parkinson's offers high quality stewardship to donors.
- Recruit and secure new donors to the major donor programme to support Cure Parkinson's work
- Working with the Head of Philanthropy and the current Major Gifts Officer, you will focus on a mixture of mid value (£1 £10,000) and high value gifts (£10,000+).
- Communicate regular updates to donors according to their needs ensuring that Cure Parkinson's offers high quality stewardship to major donors.
- Recruit and secure new donors to the major donor programme to support Cure Parkinson's work
Development Board
- Be the main point of contact for the development board.
- Support the success of the Development board by ensuring the board members are aware of how they can help support major donor fundraising, with ad hoc or multiyear donations, Cure Collective membership, and ensure all opportunities are maximised.
- Work with the senior leadership team to ensure they are aware of and supporting the development boards work
- Selfmotivated and enthusiastic worker
- Excellent communicator both written and face to face with an ability to adapt to each donor's individual needs
- Flexible approach to working conditions and working environment change
- Sense of humour, honest, empathetic, approachable, and enthusiastic
- Strong planning and organisational skills and an ability to manage a demanding workload
