Overview of role
***As a Search Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of paid search activity, building strong platform knowledge and supplier relationships, produce media plans, optimisations, and analysis.

The Search team works to effectively deploy keyword targeted campaigns to consistently deliver excellent results against client KPI targets. We are a team of eight people working on clients like Bayer, Cartier and Nuffield Health.


We are now looking for a new Search Executive to come and join the growing Search community in EssenceMediacom London's Google Practice.

This role reports to the Search Account Director.

Measures of success

In three months, you would have:

  • Completed relevant training modules to strengthen your platform knowledge
  • Fully implemented a weekly reporting and optimisation routine that provides the best opportunity for performance improvements.
  • Developed strong relationships within the Search community and with internal client team stakeholders.

In six months, you would have:

  • Been involved in short
- and long-term projects on the PPC roadmap supporting the team in executing the search strategy and delivering improved performance.

  • Worked closely with the team lead to achieve client performance targets.
  • Obtained mandatory platform certifications and implemented this knowledge into best practice on your allocated brands/products

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Gained a complete understanding of the client's business and the ability to input into proposing optimisation tactics and tests.
  • Become an integral part of the internal client team as well as an extension of the client's marketing team, providing added value across paid search and beyond.

Responsibilities of the role

Performance in Role
Effectively run best practice compliant paid search campaigns, ensuring ongoing and timely optimisation is delivered. Constantly looking for opportunities to improve performance.


Take ownership of some of the elements of the testing plan, suggesting new ideas, planning, executing and evaluating tests with methodical accuracy.


Ensure that wider client or team deliverables (such as performance commentary and weekly reporting) are prepared, working with other team members on delivery of this information, and ensuring quality of output is maintained.


People and Stakeholder Management


Collaborate with and support other team members in the paid search planning, implementation and optimisation process for all relevant clients.


Interact effectively within your internal client team, with the client and suppliers, building solid external working relationships and establishing rapport.


Process Ownership
Conduct performance analysis, internal data maintenance, issue identification and solution development.

Support on the day-to-day process across activation, minimising error and risk, and ensuring consistent and accurate adherence to process.


Identify gaps in achievement of goals, objectives and/or processes, and work with the line manager to improve performance and drive efficiencies.
