We are recruiting for an Asset Management Partner for a UK cluster in the Gas Division. This appointment can be based at our various locations (Staythorpe, Kings Lynn, Didcot, Great Yarmouth, Little Barford or Pembroke in the UK)


Main Purpose of the Role


As Asset Management Partner you are responsible for driving development and implementation of AM strategies in your asset (cluster), while ensuring consistence of process and judgement that technical input from the asset (cluster) is funnelled into asset strategies.

You will further be responsible for providing asset-focussed contributions to the Asset Management central teams and for ensuring that the Governance, Risk, Strategy and Optimisation landscapes form a coherent and consistent business context for each asset.


In addition, you will be responsible for providing a senior interface between AM, O&M and E&O teams to ensure close cooperation between different functions.


You will be part of a new team with a direct reporting line to the Head of Gas Asset Management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive development and implementation of AM strategies in asset (cluster), i.e. translate commercial and strategic input into technical outcomes for daytoday operations & technical processes and act as key contact for AM Strategy & Planning team.
  • Provide senior interface between AM, O&M and E&O by participating in asset (cluster) leadership meetings, align with relevant stakeholders, support discussions between O&M and Strategy & Planning team.
  • Gatekeeper for major decisions and optioneering.
  • Support other Gas AM teams in collecting technical input from O&M teams and ensure asset and technical insights are funnelled into AM Strategy & Planning team.
  • Support AM Governance and Risk to ensure risks are coordinated, prioritised and managed appropriately in line with the Portfolio Risk and Governance approach and that identified risks are communicated and managed within asset (cluster).
  • Support AM Strategy & Planning and Asset Optimisation teams in proactively identifying value protecting or creating opportunities based on asset and technical insights.
  • Drive the Business Plan process for the cluster and own the Business Plan outcomes.
  • Oversight of the Plant Modifications process, ensuring that the process is followed, working with the Senior Integrity Engineer, AEL & O&M management team.
  • Funnelling of Asset Development queries to maintain 'Business As Usual' Senior interface to POMS representing your cluster, taking a key role in outage scope and placement.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Degree in Engineering or comparable.
  • Professional experience preferably gained in asset operations and maintenance environment or similar, experience of managing large projects and incident management response in the energy sector.
  • Strong capabilities in managing international level teams and making them successful.
  • High professional competence in the fields of commercialisation of a power plant, Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) delivery, including outage planning and delivery.
  • Demonstration of complex thinking skills, including both analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Striving to improve business results at international level.
  • Focusing, targeting and building effective groups across national borders.
  • Focus on fostering teamwork and good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills and safe behaviour at all levels.
  • Enthusiasm, assertiveness and decisionmaking power.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Business fluent in English, Dutch or German beneficial, commitment to learn the language.
