Following on from the appointment of a new Principal and Chief Executive, a fabulous opportunity has arisen at Preston College in the new role of Vice Principal Finance.

The post, designated as a Senior Postholder appointed directly by the Board, will report to the Principal and Chief Executive on day to day matters and be a vital part of the College's Executive Leadership Team.

The College has had some notable successes in the last year, including an Ofsted inspection confirming us to be a Good provider and an Investors in People Reaccreditation confirming us as a Gold employer.

We have commenced the implementation of a new Three Year Strategic Plan, designed to further embed the continuous improvement that we have shown in recent years.

Our finances are stable, despite a funding body classification of Requires Improvement, and a key part of this new role will be to further strengthen our financial resilience.

This is an exciting time for the College, and this new role will provide the right person with the opportunity to make a real difference in a forward thinking and dynamic management team.

You will directly manage the Head of Finance, who manages the Finance team on a day to day basis, giving you the time to focus on strategic financial planning.

As a designated Senior Postholder, you will also be expected to have a corporate role in deputising for the Principal where necessary in matters related to staff contracts of employment.
