Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join one of our lovely schools.

As an HLTA in our SEND school, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teachers and enhancing the educational experience of our students.

This position presents a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of children with special educational needs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering highquality, differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
  • Provide oneonone or small group support to students who require additional help with their learning.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and specialists.
  • Manage and maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development, fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere.
  • Assist with assessment and progress monitoring, providing valuable feedback to both students and educators.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to address the unique challenges of students with SEND.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A recognized HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SEND, demonstrating a deep understanding of their unique learning needs.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • The ability to adapt and provide flexible support to address the diverse needs of students with SEND.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
  • Provide details for us to complete reference checks prior to employment. _
  • Provide an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one (which Pink Tile can assist with). _
