Description

Atkins Nuclear and Power has been operating for over 40 years with operations based in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America, and are fully engaged in the development of the next generation of nuclear power and decommissioning of legacy facilities.

We are currently embarked on an exciting journey to become the global leader in providing Reactor Decommissioning and Radioactive Waste Management Services to service the needs of the worldwide fleet of ageing nuclear reactors as decommissioning progresses.

It's a stimulating time for the nuclear sector as there is a growing sense of responsibility and investment for the safe decommissioning of nuclear reactors and the management of the UK's significant inventory of legacy wastes.

Our newly formed Reactor Operations and Decommissioning (RO&D) team is a technically diverse group of scientists and engineers, well-placed to meet these imminent and ongoing challenges in the UK, and beyond.

As a result of continued growth, we are looking to recruit scientists and engineers to join our team as Assistant Waste and Decommissioning Consultants based in our new Glasgow city centre office, at 2 Atlantic Square, as well as our Nuclear Hub in Bristol.

We welcome hybrid working arrangements.

We are looking for individuals who are willing to take responsibility and contribute to successful project delivery. We strongly encourage people diversity and multi-disciplinary skills, this allows us to approach technical challenges with confidence and resilience.

Atkins will support you throughout your career offering structured routes to chartership with an institution appropriate to your discipline.

Atkins will support your professional development goals and will assist you in completing technical training and further learning at CPD courses.

Atkins empowers our people to shape their own career and professional development goals.
