Description
CCR is looking for a keen and experienced Maintenance warden who can help out within the Local Authorities. This role will involve general maintenance for homeless and refugee properties.Must Have:
- 5 GCSE's at Grade C or Grade 4 and above including Maths and English or relevant demonstrable experience.
- Full valid driving Licence or ability to meet the transport requirements of the role.
The key roles of this post will include:
- To ensure conduct and behaviour demonstrates a commitment to the core council values and promotes cross service working to achieve excellent customer service and outcomes
- To be proactive in all aspects of health & safety management to comply with current legislation, promote a culture of good health and safety practice within the working environment, ensuring personal responsibilities to yourself and others are discharged in line with council policies and procedures
- To demonstrate a positive, diverse and inclusive attitude to both internal and external customers and colleagues
- Working in partnership with service users and other agencies to provide a quality service.
- You will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of properties throughout the borough. This includes cleaning/re-stocking and reporting all repairs identified promptly. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Carry out basic maintenance i.e. assembling of furniture packs, curtain poles, blinds
- To liaise with appropriate agencies to provide a direct response for short-term emergency situations, e.g. Arrange emergency repairs.
- To actively participate in the evaluation, development and continuous improvement of the scheme. Keeping up to date with policies and procedures and participating in meetings and training as necessary.
- To maintain accurate records and accessibility of information for the service
- Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of post.
- General Maintenance i.e. fitting curtain pools, assembling furniture, changing light bulbs
- Cleaning
- Demonstrate the ability to organise your own workload.
- Computer literate.
- Previous experience in housing or social care
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of equality and diversity and the ability to evidence how this would be displayed within the workplace
- Moving and handling competence
- Basic first aid
- Working with a diverse range of customers
- Health and safety
Job Types:
