Following NHSE's Long Term Plan (LTP) commitment to new investment to support delivery of the Neonatal Critical Care Review (NCCR) we have been allocated funded to create a valuable quality role within our Neonatal services.


As the Neonatal Governance Lead the post holder will take responsibility for leading investigations of significant events and serious incidents, producing and monitoring action plans.

There will be an expectation that you will provide support and information for staff to learn from incidents, taking into consideration human factors, route cause analysis pathways and assurance that change in practice has been embedded to prevent re-occurrence.

This role will be working alongside the Neonatal Team and Women's Health Safety Team.

Part of the role will be providing on-going clinical support to the Neonatal Team with allocated clinical rota support. This will ensure that skills are maintained and provide a varied experience to the position holder.
