About our client

Our client, a successful global multi-asset investment fund, is currently looking to hire a Lawyer to join their high-performing legal team as Funds Legal Counsel.

The fund, which invests across multiple strategies across numerous international regions, hashad a very successful past couple of years in significantly increasing their AUM.

They are continuing this growth phase and have multiple fundraises lined up for the near future, making it a very exciting time to join.


What the job involves
As the Legal Counsel, you will work as part of a small but very efficient legal team.

You will primarily be focusing on the establishment, development and structuring of the firm's funds whilst ensuring each meets regulations.

The funds will then be used toinvest across multiple strategies, allowing some good exposure.

On a daily basis, you will have the opportunity to work closely with and learn from a very experienced Head of Legal, whilst being supported by multiple junior staff.

You will also act as themain point of contact for external counsel, whilst supporting and also managing internal legal projects

  • Manage all legal aspects of the firm's international funds, developing, establishing and structuring
  • Coordinate the drafting of legal documentation
  • Work closely with compliance in regards to policies and procedures that ensure the firm's funds meet regulatory requirements
  • Liaise and work closely with external law firms and thirdparty service providers
  • Assist with generic legal tasks relating to transactions, tax and regulatory issues
  • Work on legal and adhoc projects for the business

Who we are looking for:


  • Qualified Lawyer either currently working in private practice or similar inhouse role
  • Good working knowledge of fund structuring, operation and closing matters would be beneficial
  • International exposure and knowledge of multiple jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of multiple investment strategies secondaries, credit, coinvestment would be advantageous
  • Commercial, pragmatic, and able to work to timelines
