Insurance Consultant

Salary:
paying up to £26,000 per annum

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm. Including working 8:30am - 12pm every other Saturday. When you work the Saturday, you get the hours back in lieu the following week.

Market Harborough. Office Based.

22 days holiday, increasing to 27 days through service (plus bank holidays)
Match Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of their client based in Market Harborough.

Our client is a highly established and leading Insurance Broker, which is part of the UK's & Europe's largest Insurance Broker.

Everybody who starts within the business, starts in this role of Insurance Consultant. For the right people, there is a fantastic progression path.

My client is a broker, not an Insurance provider. Think of a professional and verbal comparison site. My client operates differently to the many Insurance companies in the area. For one, they're not a Call Centre.

Secondly, you'll handle the customer's enquiry from start to the finish:

from the first call enquiry, right through to supporting them with the best product for them and drawing up the policy.

They're advisory, so you can suggest the best solutions for the customers and then discussing the available insurance prices/ packages available from the Insurance providers (the companies that actually provide the insurance cover).

This is not a hard selling role. No cold calling. No leader boards with big targets to hit.

In fact, there is no commission structure; they want their staff to offer a fantastic service and only sell the service, if it suits the customer and they want to buy it.

They do have KPIs, but team-based ones, so you'll be working in a close team with the same common goal.

Summary of role:


  • Depending on what team you join, you'll work in a specialist Insurance Product area: this could be car, home, van, motorcycle & they also do niche vehicle insurance for modified & imported vehicles
  • You'll spend the vast majority of your day on the phone

Mainly inbound enquiries:
from website and comparison sites.

  • Consulting and providing expert advice to suit the customer's specific requirements. They don't believe in selling any policies that aren't right for their customers.
