We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is looking for Project Officer (CQC Inspection Preparation Support) in the Solihull area of Birmingham for an approximate fixed term of 12 months.

Must have experience in an adult social care setting


Hybrid Working - To be in the office 2 days a week but in the office full time when the inspection is due.

£30 - £35 per hour depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday
- full-time.


Role & Responsibilities

Purpose

  • To support Solihull Adult Social Care with preparation of Local Authority Adult Social Care inspections by CQC.
  • The post will initially support inspection preparation activity but will help support the delivery of any actions resulting from an inspection.
  • To support inspection, ensuring robust processes are followed and that regular updates are provided internally to senior manages as required.

Key Responsibilities;

Pre Inspection Preparation_

  • Support the collation, preparation, and quality control of evidence collated to provide the inspection team in line with the CQC Inspection Framework for Local Authorities
  • Preparation and collation of reports and presentation materials
  • Stakeholder engagement with staff and partners
  • Lead on areas of work to drive identified areas of improvement

Inspection Support_

  • To support the management of the inspection process with CQC ensuring that the required evidence is submitted to the Lead Inspector in line with the required timescales.
  • To support the management of the inspection timetable
  • To ensure that key stakeholders (internal and external) are briefed and prepared for the inspection

Post Inspection_

  • To support the delivery of improvement actions arising from the inspection process.
  • Experience and Experience_
  • Experience of working in Adult Social Care in a leadership position
  • Experience of inspection by regulators (ideally health and social care)
  • Experience of working on complex projects or programmes involving the planning and delivery of projects within a matrix situation of corporate colleagues and potentially external partners.
  • Experience of monitoring and reporting on the performance of projects / programme to senior leaders.
  • Experience of producing reports and presentations for senior leaders.

Skills & Abilities_

  • Ability to make judgments / decisions independently where appropriate and know when to involve others
  • Ability to present information effectively and explain complex issues to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to influence a wide range of people across the Local Authority, up to and including leadership level
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload; using a systematic approach to make best use of time
  • Ability to produce accurate reports, presentations and spreadsheets with logical, clear and succinct structure
  • Ability to lead, develop & motivate others to achieve programme aims
